Scott is Life is Too Short Guy. He lives every day with intense zest, enthusiasm, and excitement. He exudes energy. He has an infectious personality he uses to Make the World Happier One Smile at a Time.
When not writing or speaking about LITSG, Scott is the Chairman and CEO of Spectra, a fast-growing student housing and essential living developer and owner. He is also Chairman of Invesque, a public real estate investment company that specializes in health care and senior living property investments throughout North America. Invesque was the fastest growing public real estate company in the United States for the first three years after the IPO in 2016.

Prior to focusing his career on real estate, Scott spent over thirteen years on Wall Street. He served as a Senior Vice President of Brookfield Asset Management, where he was responsible for raising capital for various alternative asset vehicles across real estate, private equity, and infrastructure. His career experience also includes a tenure as Director and Head of Deal Management at Citigroup’s Alternatives Distribution Group. At Citigroup, he advised clients on alternative capital raising activities in private equity, real estate, hedge and infrastructure funds. He was responsible for executing twenty-five capital raising assignments at over $30B.

​Earlier in his career, Scott was part of the Health Care Group at Citi’s Investment Bank, working with clients in the health care sector on M&A and capital raising assignments. He began his career in public accounting as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Scott loves learning and loved school. He earned a bachelor’s degree with highest honors in political science and journalism from Rutgers University. He received his MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a Certified Public Accountant, was admitted to the bar in both New York and New Jersey, and previously held securities industry FINRA licenses Series 7, 24, and 63.

Scott is currently a Director Emeritus of Rutgers University Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of the NJ Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He enjoys skiing, golf and running. He has completed an Ironman triathlon and 15 marathons. He also loves Rutgers sports, to an extreme! He is happily married to his high school sweetheart and has two daughters.
